Cancellation News Thank you for your continued patience and support during these unprecedented times. The safety of our patrons, volunteers, performers and musicians remains our first priority. For this reason, and due to the current ban by the Government of Ontario on large venues and theatres, we are unable to present the remaining shows of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang scheduled for March and April 2021. We know this is disappointing news but, we will be back! Planning Update: 2021/2022 Season Planning is underway and it is our intention to present a 2021/2022 season in a format that meets with Provincial Government and Peel Public Health directives. As announced last Fall, Meadowvale Theatre will undergo a renovation to allow us to better serve our theatre audience. The Encore Series is working with the City of Mississauga to investigate opportunities to present a 2021/2022 season in the RBC Theatre at the Living Arts Centre. 2022/2023 Planning Update We want to welcome you back to Meadowvale with a Bang. That is, we plan to offer a Welcome Home 6 Show Subscription that will start with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to get us started back at our beloved theatre (pending rights approval). Subscription Seats are Safe! Rest assured that all season ticket subscribers’ seats will be held for first offering before we open to the public for sale. We know how our subscribers love to come and meet their friends for a night of entertainment. You are important. We want to hear from you. After a busy week of tech, rehearsals and much painting, The Hunchback of Notre Dame had a successful opening and ended with a sell out on Sunday afternoon! The verdict? The patrons loved it and we are thrilled. Some of the comments we received were; "I may being seeing the best show that’s graced the Meadowvale stage. I can’t type it out let alone speak. More after the second act and I calm down..." "simply phenomenal !" "Set a new standard. And the sound! Come on!!! They nailed it!" There are 5 shows left. Seating is limited. City Centre Musical Productions and Mississauga Theatre Alliance are thrilled to launch their new Mentorship Program. They will be mentoring youth (ages 14 to 18) who are interested in experiencing roles within their community theatre realm!!! Youths will spend one-on-one time with an experienced mentor in one or more of the following roles: · Performer · Creative Director · Tech Crew Member · Stage Manager · Production Manager · Set Designer · Lighting & Sound Designer · Props Manager · Costume Designer We will involve the participants in the rehearsal and build process for the current production season and this unique opportunity will conclude with exclusive hands-on experience backstage and/or mainstage of the Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga. There are no costs to the participant. At the end of the program, we will provide a certificate towards community involvement activity hours.
