Susan Pringle

PRESIDENT
Susan is thrilled to be the new president of CCMP and she hopes to utilize her experience that she has accumulated in her 24 years of being involved in all aspects of community theatre. Whether she was an actor, crew chief, producer or a dedicated board member; Sue believes that it is important to give back to those in the community. She is of the opinion that when you have found something you love to do and are making a positive difference to others, you should never stop. "Don't just dream it, be it!" Richard O'Brien

Erin Mouchian

VICE PRESIDENT
Erin has performed with the Encore Series since 1995 and has been a member of CCMP for over 10 years. In 2020 when the world was shut down, Erin decided to join the CCMP board as a way of giving back to a community that has given her so much. She is honoured to work with a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers who are continually committed to creating a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment for all who wish to be a part. There is room for everyone - come join us!

David Grimason

TREASURER
David has been involved with community theatre for a long time as a performer and he has been privileged to perform with many groups within the GTA He volunteers on the CCMP board bringing his expertise in finance and business to the table. He is proud of cutting-edge productions brought to Meadowvale Theatre by CCMP, along with all their work in the community inspiring and sponsoring artists of all ages over the years.

Francine Jimenez

SECRETARY
Francine has been part of community theatre since her first show with BMT in 2014. She joined CCMP in 2020 as backstage crew for The Hunchback of Notre Dame and enjoyed the energy and sense of community CCMP offered. Francine is excited to be a part of the 2023-2024 CCMP Board as secretary for her 3rd year and encourages all to become a part of the CCMP family.

Paul Berdusco

TRUSTEE
Paul is a long-time member and is mostly responsible for CCMP's Bingo portfolio with Rama Gaming in Mississauga. He enjoys being a master carpenter/builder and a performer for CCMP and other groups within the Encore Series. He really enjoys comradery with his crew, fellow performers and the team who work behind the scenes building a show.

Heidi Cyfko

TRUSTEE
Heidi has been involved with CCMP and it's predecessor organizations since the age of 13 when she had begun vocal lessons with Eleanor Calbes, one of the founding members of the group. Since then she enjoys time onstage, backstage and recently, as a Trustee and past President on the CCMP Board. She is proud to be part of an organization that puts on high quality musical theatre shows for Mississauga and one that creates a respectful, caring, and family-oriented atmosphere for all who are involved.

Onita Dey

TRUSTEE
Inspired by CCMP’s passionate board, talented artists and crew, Board-Member-at-large, Onita Dey is excited to use her sales and marketing skills to engage audiences, contribute to revenue/strategic planning and ongoing professional development initiatives. Onita is an Opera aficionado in her spare time, when not busy in her Business Strategist function.

Paul Fletcher

CONSULTANT TO THE BOARD
As one of the founding charter members, Paul has had the honour of serving as President, on and off, over 20 years. He has been a Treasurer, a producer and a performer for many shows and was voted the Favourite Male Performer by Encore Series subscribers twice. Paul has served as Chair on the Advisory Board for the Meadowvale Theatre and was appointed by the City of Mississauga as a Director for the Living Arts Centre. He is most thankful for all of the wonderful experiences and friendships that the theatre community has provided to him enriching his life and the lives of his entire family.

Michael Lee

TRUSTEE
Michael, a valued builder, performer and volunteer is our newest Board member. He says that ironically, he loves the community in community theatre. He has been in choirs performing all his life but has also been dipping his toes in musical theatre shows when the opportunities present themselves. He was instantly enthralled with CCMP as soon as he walked into his very first rehearsal and is thrilled to be able to serve on the board.

Ivy Joy Maniquiz

TRUSTEE
Ivy is a new board member who has done 4 shows with us and hosts her own talk show called Shine on Filipino TV. Ivy was instrumental in helping to us promote our last show by inviting her crew into a rehearsal to film a segment to aid ticket sales and build some awareness for the group. Her first show was South Pacific in 2009 where she was "Bloody Mary" and won an MTM Best Supporting Actor award for her portrayal.

Maria Moore

TRUSTEE
Maria joined CCMP as the evil stepmother in Cinderella in 2003. She has since served on the CCMP Board for many years as a Trustee and was president from 2014 - 2019. She has also been fortunate to direct several ground-breaking community theatre productions for CCMP. Man of La Mancha, Miss Saigon and Titanic, just to name a few.

Sharon Nimmo

TRUSTEE
Sharon has had the privilege of being part of community theatre for over 20 years with several groups in the GTA and has enjoyed playing many roles over the years. In 2019, she mentored youth, helping them to learn more about backstage jobs and how a show comes together behind the scenes. She believes CCMP is a welcoming and progressive group that is a wonderful part of the Encore Series.

Glenn Pringle

CONSULTANT TO THE BOARD
Glenn brings a wealth of experience to his role as a Board Consultant. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and will pass along his advice with the best interests of the group in mind. He's a Canadian Registered Safety Officer and brings his expertise as a Pyrotechnician for Special Effects to the stage as needed. Theatre experiences have allowed him to work with the most talented people for which he is eternally grateful.

Dan Schieck

TRUSTEE
Dan enjoys learning about the board, their history, shows and community theatre. Dan pitches in by volunteering with Bingos, helping with moving the sets in and out of the theatre and has been a crew member back-stage. Dan is a valuable team player, and looks forward to future shows with this dynamic group.

Karlie Starchuk

TRUSTEE
Karlie is an alumnus of the St. Lawrence College Musical Theatre Program and Sheridan College's Prep for Performing Arts program. She recently performed in the Choir for the 2023 production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She is very excited to take part as a member of the Board of Trustees and hopes to be a great example for the theatre community.

Catie Westrope

TRUSTEE
The first musical Catie ever performed in was CCMP's Guys & Dolls in 2005; she played the triangle in the Mission Band. From that moment she was hooked. Catie has enjoyed countless community musicals - on-stage, backstage, and in the audience; and now she is excited to experience community theatre from this new perspective on the board!

Evan Williams

CONSULTANT: MARKETING & MEDIA
Evan has recently changed his role from Board Trustee to Consultant of Marketing and Media. Evan used his experience in film, publicity and promotions to assist with a video project where members talked about their experiences with CCMP shows, both on-stage and off-stage in order to build group awareness. He has also helped the group develop a new logo. Evan will continue to lend value to the Board as they grow and take on new projects.

OUR STORY

City Centre Musical Productions (CCMP) is a Mississauga based community theatre group. All members share a love of music, song and performance. We owe the continuing existence of CCMP to the enterprise and inspiration of two people. Both our Founder, Eleanor Calbes and our President Emeritus, husband Jack Thomson have been part of the Mississauga music scene for many years and CCMP since its inception. In 1985, Eleanor founded Mississauga’s first opera company, Mississauga City Centre Opera. From it’s origins as an opera company, Calbes Voice Studio (CVS) was founded as a family orientated workshop for musical theatre. When Meadowvale Theatre first opened its doors in 1989, CVS’s first production there was The Sound of Music. During these years the group performed concerts in the spring and at Christmas, along with a full musical production in August. Eleanor was also instrumental in starting the CVS Scholarship in which young singers up to the age of 19 compete in three age categories for monetary awards to be used to further their studies.In 1995, the Board agreed to incorporate CVS and received its Charitable designation under the new name of CVS Musical Productions. In 1999, the Board voted to change the group’s name once again, to City Centre Musical Productions Inc. (CCMP) to reflect its growth within the Mississauga community. CCMP continues to expand their horizons and grow year over year while encompassing the tenets of the company which were laid down by Eleanor and Jack 17 years ago. CCMP is a member of ACTCO, Mississauga Arts Council, Mississauga Recreation and Parks, Theatre Ontario, Theatre Alliance and The Encore Series.
